Woonsocket 2024 Annual Holiday Ornament Symbolizes Unity, Freedom, and Love of Country
WOONSOCKET, R.I.: Mayor Christopher Beauchamp announced today that the City of Woonsocket’s Annual Holiday Ornament for 2024 features the colors of our flag inside a beautifully crafted star adorned with gold-plated swirls. The ornament prominently displays the words "God Bless America." Made of 24K gold-plated brass, this ornament has been custom-designed and handcrafted by Beacon Design, a Lincoln, RI-based company recognized as the leading manufacturer of ornaments in America and famous for creating the official White House Holiday Ornament.
Mayor Beauchamp stated, “Our 2024 Annual Holiday Ornament captures Woonsocket's patriotic spirit and serves as a reminder of the importance of unity, faith, and the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. This ornament makes a wonderful keepsake for your trees and wreaths.”
The Mayor expressed gratitude to Georgeta Gassey for her thoughtful contribution of inspirational message included on the ornament’s card. “Georgeta’s heartfelt message perfectly compliments the theme of unity, faith, freedom, and love of country. Her words resonate particularly well in our hopeful post-election environment,” said Mayor Beauchamp.
Mayor Beauchamp will be presenting the 2024 Ornament at the Tree Lighting at the Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 7, at 5:00 pm. Ornaments will be available to purchase after the presentation.
The City is offering one hundred ornaments for sale. Each elegantly boxed ornament will include a message card. The ornaments are priced at $25 each, and can be purchased in the Mayor’s Office at Woonsocket City Hall.
